The Tennessee Titans are taking on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football, attempting to pick up their first win of the season. Despite the hope they can rebound against the Dolphins, they will do so without quarterback Will Levis — at least for now.

Levis attempted to secure a first down in the first quarter when he dove past a Dolphins defender. Levis fell hard on his shoulder and was immediately taken out of the game.

Levis did not pick up the first down, and the Titans would eventually start their next offensive series with backup quarterback Mason Rudolph under center. Levis has been given the questionable to return designation.

Levis has been struggling all season and leads the NFL with nine turnovers. Right before the injury occurred, Levis threw an interception that landed in the hands of Dolphins edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah.
The Titans have placed a lot of faith in Levis, who came in for Ryan Tannehill in the 2023 season. Despite being a rookie, Levis started nine games, and put together a respectable performance. He secured 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions in limited time.
The Titans opted not to draft a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, instead focusing on more protection for Levis. JC Latham was taken No. 7 overall, with hopes that he could be an immediate impact player. Latham is the starting left tackle for the team.
Levis and the Titans have had a rocky start to the 2024 NFL season. So far, the team is 0-3 and has lost to the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and Green Bay Packers.
The Titans are seen as argubaly the worst team in the NFL right now, and Levis being out could cause even more issues on the offensive side of the ball. Rudolph is certainly a proven veteran in the league, but there is no telling if he will be able to lead the team to some much-needed wins.
Another loss from the Titans on MNF will make them fall even further down in the AFC South, and the entire AFC. The Titans were hoping to alleviate their postseason issues by firing Mike Vrabel and benching Tannehill, but the team appears to be in worse condition now.
For now, Rudolph has led two field goal drives. It remains to be seen if Levis returns to this game.
