Team Penske's Ryan Blaney has clinched the pole position for the NASCAR Cup Series Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

This second race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, following the season-opening Daytona 500, was dominated by Team Penske and Wood Brothers Racing, with Blaney being followed by Austin Cindric, Josh Berry, and Joey Logano.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway has undergone substantial changes after the 2021 season, transforming into a superspeedway-style track akin to Daytona and Talladega. This reconfiguration has introduced pack racing, which adds an exciting dimension to the races held here. The race, spanning 260 laps and covering 400 miles on a 1.54-mile track, promises to be an intense display of racing.

Ford vehicles, including those driven by Team Penske's lineup, have shown a marked improvement at superspeedways, capturing ten of the top eleven starting spots. Kyle Busch is the highest-qualifying non-Ford driver, starting in sixth position and competing with Richard Childress Racing for a third season.

Joey Logano, who sits in the fourth starting position, is the previous Ambetter Health 400 winner, having taken the win in the September 2024 race. His past experience and current standings position him as a formidable contender in this race again.

Joe Gibbs Racing has a challenging qualifying session that places their top starter, Christopher Bell, in a distant 32nd position. The entire team will be seeking significant gains during the race to overcome this poor Saturday.

Newcomer Shane van Gisbergen, who recently made the switch from Australian Supercars, is starting his first full NASCAR Cup Series season and begins his race from 30th place.
