Nikki Bella On A Potential Heel Turn

While discussing her current babyface run, Nikki admitted that a part of her wants to return to the villainous role she played for a significant portion of her first run in the company.

"I'm really excited to maybe push Fearless Nikki in a different direction," she said. "Deep down, I would love to go back heel, but it's so much fun to have the challenge of being a babyface in this era that is a very different era."

WWE Star's "Fearless" Return

Nikki Bella's return to WWE has been a journey in itself. The Hall of Famer and former Divas Champion made her surprise return at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Her current run has seen her in a high-profile program with Becky Lynch, which culminated in a match for the Women's Intercontinental Championship at the Clash in Paris premium live event.

During that match, she received a somewhat heel-like reaction from the passionate Paris crowd, a response she has since acknowledged. This crowd reaction could be a catalyst for the character change she is now teasing.

A New WWE Creative Era

Nikki also praised the new creative process in WWE, noting how much more collaborative it is now than during her first run.

"I do work with creative, every week, hands-on. I love being hands-on," she said. "It's actually very different than before. Even when we do promos, we used to get handed something, and it's way different now. It's really cool. You just sit and talk about it."
