WWE star and Chief Content Officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, continues to face scrutiny from many fans regarding the booking of various stories and events. Most recently, that includes Wrestlepalooza, the first-ever WWE premium live event presented by ESPN on its ESPN+ streaming service.
The event received lackluster reviews, even receiving a mediocre grade from an ESPN writer. A large portion of the fan base was also outspoken online about the event.
With that said, the company is moving forward under many of Triple H's creative directions for the future. He seemingly booked a huge match involving John Cena's retirement tour, as Cena will have a rematch against rival AJ Styles at Crown Jewel this weekend.

Triple H will also have several other significant events on the way, including one of the WWE's most important premium live events, Survivor Series, and a "Saturday Night's Main Event" show in December, which will feature Cena's final match before retirement.
With that in mind, a former WWE worker shared a bold prediction about Triple H's situation heading into next year, which appears to serve as a strong warning to the CCO about how he's running the company.

During the Sportskeeda WrestleBinge podcast, Dr. Chris Featherstone chatted with co-host, former WWE and WCW worker, Vince Russo. While they touched upon several topics, one of the last ones they discussed in a new video is about Triple H's popularity in his current role.
“If they were looking at things from a business point of view, half of those people would not be on the roster,” Russo claimed about the state of WWE.
“I think we are really going to see the fanbase start to turn on Triple H. I really think we’re going to start to see that,” he said.
“I am hearing it now outside of Russo’s brand. I am starting to hear about the creative more and more and more, and you tie that to the guy puts himself all over everything,” Russo said on WrestleBinge.
He suggested that fans would really start to turn against Triple H going into 2026, which might not be quite so bold. Based on comments online about the new ESPN Unlimited service, the decision to take WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia, the disappointing Wrestlepalooza event, and underwhelming Raw and SmackDown episodes, some fans may have already done that.
The WWE CCO still has opportunities for redemption with upcoming events, including WWE Crown Jewel, Survivor Series, and John Cena's final match. Crown Jewel and Survivor Series will be presented live on the new ESPN Unlimited streaming service, with "Saturday Night's Main Event" in December streaming on Peacock.
