'Star Wars Battlefront 2' Clone Wars DLC Revealed at E3

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has plenty of free DLC on the way if the latest info from Saturday's EA Play press conference is any indication. After months of leaks and speculation, it looks like General Grievous and several Clone Wars characters will finally be introduced as a playable Heroes.

The new faces include Obi Wan, General Grievous, Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker. Sooner in the timeline, there are also new dogfighting and command post modes in the works.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 became the biggest gaming catastrophe of 2017 thanks to its poor implementation of randomized Loot Crates. EA and DICE have since rolled back those elements, and the team remains committed to offering players plenty of free DLC. Today's announcement is yet another example of that kept promise. In addition to the content revealed today, Star Wars Battlefront 2 gets its next major DLC drop June 12. It features the new Kessel map, additional Hero skins for Han and a fresh take on the beloved Extraction game mode.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
