Stormy Daniels said she would rather serve time behind bars than pay the legal fees she owes Donald Trump following her failed defamation lawsuit against the former president.
The adult film star is required to pay Trump almost $300,000 in attorneys' fees after a federal appeals court rejected her bid to overturn a lower court's decision.
Trump celebrated his win and released a statement on Monday saying: "All I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me."
Daniels, who has been embroiled in a years-long feud with Trump over her claim that they had sex one time in 2006, has said she has no intention of paying the huge sum.
"I will go to jail before I pay a penny," Daniels—whose real name is Stephanie Clifford—tweeted on Tuesday in response to a tweet gloating about her loss in court.
Daniels was at the center of a White House sex scandal when she claimed to have had sex with Trump in 2016. The former president has repeatedly denied the claims and their battle has seen both of their former lawyers being convicted of felonies connected to the effects of Daniels' claim.

The scandal made headlines when in 2018 The Wall Street Journal revealed that the adult film producer had received $130,000 for signing a non-disclosure agreement just before the 2016 presidential election about her alleged affair with Trump.
This ruling by the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit came after an earlier ruling by a lower court that rejected Daniels' defamation suit against Trump.
Just last month, Daniels' former lawyer Michael Avenatti was found guilty of swindling $300,000 from her over a book she was reportedly writing about her alleged affair with the former president.
The celebrity lawyer was convicted of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft following a trial in the Manhattan federal court last month.
On Monday, Trump called the ruling in his favor "a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me."
"The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal," Trump said in a statement, per CNBC. "Now all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me."
Trump added: "P.S. The Fake News probably won't report this story!"
