Amazon Driver Praised Online for Sweet Message to Homeowners: 'Inspired Me'

An Amazon delivery driver has earned praise online after his sweet message to a homeowner was captured on their Nest doorbell camera.

The Memphis driver, named online as Prenston Macon, did more than just deliver a package when he took a moment to compliment the house, citing it as an inspiration for him to "do better."

It seems the moment brightened homeowner Chelsie Gilbert's day, as she took to TikTok to share the encounter. "I'm even more excited about this message than my packages, she wrote on-screen."

"Give this guy a raise," she added, while tagging Amazon in the clip. The video was posted on January 28 and has since gained over 5 million views.

In the popular video, which can be viewed here, the driver approached the house, exclaiming: "I don't know what i'm doing but this is a beautiful a** house. I just want to let y'all know this.

"This inspired me to motivate myself to do better for real. It's just off the top, and I brought the wrong damn phone. Y'all have a good one."

Macon's message of kindness has gained attention online, with TikTok users rushing to applaud his speech.

"One of the fun parts of being a delivery person [is] all the awesome houses! Love getting new discord ideas too," wrote one viewer.

"When your heart is so big you can't help but spread love and positivity. More of this energy in the world," added another.

"This is precious," wrote one user, while another noted they should "protect this man at all costs."

Newsweek has contacted Chelsie Gilbert for comment.

In recent months, delivery drivers have frequently gone viral online, often for sweet and considerate moments caught on doorbell cameras, just like this instance.

In January, an UberEats driver took the internet by storm after leaving a thoughtful gift with the customer's food delivery.

The driver, named as Donald Jackson, went viral after leaving a customer a handwritten card and a printed poem, along with tissues placed down with the food.

Tracey Ramirez shared the moment online after her Ring doorbell caught the gesture. "This super sweet UberEats delivery guy delivered more than just food," she wrote on-screen. "He so thoughtfully and delicately placed tissue paper under the food and goody bag he brought us."

The poem was shown to be "Footprints in the Sand," a religious poem that tells a story of being carried by God during hard times.

In a call after going viral, Ramirez told Jackson: "You are incredibly sweet, you have no idea. I love that poem, that's now my favorite poem. I started crying immediately."
