Tucker Carlson Compares Nancy Pelosi to Michael Jackson: 'Had a Lot of Work Done'

Fox News host Tucker Carlson ridiculed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi by comparing her to "Man In The Mirror" and "Stranger In Moscow" hitmaker Michael Jackson last night.

Carlson began a segment of Monday's Tucker Carlson Tonight by claiming that viewers would have been in "for the shock of their life" if they were watching television on Sunday.

He remarked that deceased pop star Jackson was on CBS News' politics show Face the Nation. He then played a clip from the show, to reveal he was referring to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Carlson posted the snippet to his Twitter page and it has already been viewed over 1 million times. He captioned the video: "Michael Jackson was spotted on live television over the weekend."

Carlson did not elaborate on social media what he meant by calling Pelosi Michael Jackson and the clip sparked a debate in the comment section about whether the mockery was witty or childish.

Carlson's comment "had a lot of work done" indicated the Fox News host was suggesting Pelosi has had multiple plastic surgery procedures similar to that of Jackson, something the speaker has not indicated she has had done.

In the clip, Carlson said: "Yesterday was Sunday and you may have found yourself on the couch ideally flipping around the TV dial. If you flipped far enough you could have had the shock of your life.

"Michael Jackson was on Face the Nation. Let us be clear this was not a video of Michael Jackson performing his hit songs of the 1990s.

"This appeared to be a living version of the international pop star that news reports claimed died of a drug overdose more than a dozen years ago.

"Despite those claims, there he was, fully undeniably Michael Jackson talking no television.

"How can that be? Honestly, we have no idea. We are not theologians here, this is merely a news program. We can only show you what we saw."

Carlson then played the clip of Pelosi from the show where she accused the Republicans of attempting to undermine democracy.

Carlson did not address Pelosi's claims beyond making the statement that Pelosi was "telling lies about politics."

Pelosi had been asked by host Margaret Brennan about certain states changing their own election laws as well as President Joe Biden's Build Back Better legislation.

Pelosi said: "Well, first, let's get the bill passed. I think that the order of things is very appropriate. There is nothing more important for us to do than protect our constitution and our democracy.

"What the Republicans are doing across the country is really a legislative continuation of what they did on January 6, which is to undermine our democracy, to undermine the integrity of our elections, to undermine the voting power, which is the essence of a democracy."

After hearing this Carlson added: "See, Michael Jackson, that was him. No 'Billie Jean,' apparently he has given up on singing and is telling lies about politics.

"Same man, if you have ever seen Michael Jackson, you cannot forget the face though admittedly, he has had a lot of work done since we saw him last."

Newsweek has contacted Fox News for comment.
