'WandaVision' Spoilers: About That Surprise Cameo and What It Could Mean

The fifth episode of Disney+ and Marvel Studios' WandaVision is live to stream, but it's a particular cameo that will have everyone talking...until the next episode at least.

Titled "On a Very Special Episode," viewers got to understand a bit more about what is going on in Westview and how Wanda and the Vision play into it. With four more episodes remaining, episode five looks to be the start of something bigger.

But before we dive into that cameo and what it could possibly mean, SPOILER ALERT for the rest of this story.

The hype around this week's episode of WandaVision began this week when Elizabeth Olsen spoke with TVLine. The actress revealed that there will be an appearance on the show that will be comparable to that of The Mandalorian Season 2, when a young Luke Skywalker appeared.

And she wasn't lying.

Throughout the episode, Vision began seeing irregularities in Westview and began questioning Wanda on whether she is responsible for what is happening in the town. Of course Wanda denies it, and the two are at odds when their door rings.

Wanda doesn't have the slightest clue as to who it could be, despite her controlling everything, so you know it was going to be a big reveal when her brother appears at the door. But it's not the Quicksilver we saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson—it's the Quicksilver played by Evan Peters from the X-Men movies produced by Fox.

Wanda at first is confused. But once this Quicksilver asks for a hug from his sister, she is happy to see him.

Darcy is watching the broadcast from the S.W.O.R.D base when she states that Wanda "recast" her brother.

So what does this all mean? Of course it's hard to tell what Marvel Studios is planning by dropping this bombshell on everyone. But there are a few theories that could explain it.

First, Wanda's reality manipulating powers has opened a hole into the multiverse. This episode confirmed that everyone and everything in Westview is real. Wanda can shape objects to her liking like how she transformed Monica Rambeau's kevlar into her wardrobe for the sitcoms.

This could mean that Wanda opened up a portal into the X-Men's universe and pulled Evan Peters' Quicksilver into Westview. Now that he's in Westview, he's under the control of Wanda and believes he is her brother.

We already know that the next Doctor Strange film is titled Multiverse of Madness and will have Wanda co-star in it, so there's a possibility that this theory is correct. But we'll just have to wait and see.

This next theory is not as exciting as opening a hole into the multiverse, but is plausible.

What if there's a normal guy who looks like Evan Peters who lives in Westview and Wanda just chose him to play her brother? Yeah, it's not as cool of a theory. However, it could explain this character arriving and Wanda not recognizing him as her brother because the episode established, again, that everyone in the town is actually there and not someone Wanda just created.

The twins are another story entirely.

Thankfully, we only have to wait a week to see what happens next to Wanda, Vision and this new Quicksilver when episode six of WandaVision debuts on February 12.
