Woman Finds Iconic Dress From 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' at Goodwill for Under $5

Cast your mind back to the popular movies of the early 2000s, and you'll remember rom-coms reigned supreme.

Flip phones and low-rise jeans were all the rage as our protagonists attempted to defy the inevitable, before falling head over heels for each other.

One of the blockbuster hits from that era is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, released in 2003, starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey.

Hudson plays journalist Andie Anderson, who works at the fictional Composure magazine, while McConaughey plays advertising executive Benjamin Barry.

Andie is writing a feature on how to make a guy dump you in just over a week, while Ben is trying to win a bet to secure a big account.

Ben needs to make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days, and hilarity ensues as the plot follows both characters attempting to execute their competing agendas.

Needless to say in the end they fall in love, but the heartwarming film is well known for another reason—a sensational dress.

Hudson dons a slinky, floor-length yellow gown with a low back, which made it onto the movie poster and cover.

Andie infamously sings Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" while wearing the dress, a scene that is ingrained into the memory of most millennials.

Which is why one woman couldn't believe her eyes when she spotted the exact same dress—at Goodwill.

Audrey Parrow was shocked when she found a perfect replica from the film hanging on a rail in the thrift store, and the price was unbelievable too.

Student Parrow, thought to be from Virginia, shared a shot of the receipt with three items from the women's rack, all under $5, meaning the dress was a bargain.

"I literally found the dress from How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days at Goodwill," Parrow captioned a clip on her TikTok account.

The video, shared on Monday, has already amassed nearly 1.5 million views, as Parrow wrote: "Bury me in this dress."

She modeled the gorgeous frock for her followers, as scores of people raved over how it fit her perfectly.

Hadley wrote: "And it looks amazing on you?!"

"That dress looks like it was made for you," GoodTroubles said.

Becca Lowrey commented: "That dress is so iconic!"

Allison thought: "I'm glad you found this because you are basically Kate Hudson, ya'll look so alike. I would die of happiness if I found this."

While Kylie joked: "I've been going to the wrong Goodwill."

Newsweek reached out to Parrow for comment.
