A video of a grandma selling her late husband's car to surprise her granddaughter with a vehicle on her birthday has left the internet in tears after it went viral on social media.
The video shared on TikTok on Tuesday by the granddaughter, under the username Hisgirlgracieee, shows the young woman bursting into tears as she opens her front door to find a car wrapped up in a giant red bow waiting for her outside.

The average price paid for a new vehicle in the United States in September 2022 was above $48,000, according to new data by Kelley Blue Book, a Cox Automotive company. According to Statista, the average price for a used vehicle in 2022 is around $26,700.
The American Automobile Association (AAA) says that the average cost to own and operate a new car in 2022 has soared about 11 percent since 2021 to $10,728 per year, just under $900 per month.
According to the AAA, today's national gas-price average is $3.214 per gallon. The highest price is in Hawaii where regular costs about $5.154, and the lowest is in Texas, where it costs only about $2.670.
The video quickly went viral on the platform and has so far received more than 945,500 views and 172,400 likes.
One TikToker, Hannah, commented: "Aw I'm crying this is so wholesome would be so proud of you," while geordisure wrote: "I'm currently sat watching this on repeat balling my eyes out. the ending."
Grace clerkin x posted: "This is so special he is always with you baby." And Aylaaa commented: "the most wholesome thing I've ever seen." Stevie O'Brien added: "Why you gotta do Me like this? ... This is So Lovely. Your Nan & Grandad seem like a Pair of Diamonds!"
Another user, Rebekahdoran, commented: "I am actually sobbing this is the cutest thing ever." And Ella Neill wrote: "I've never cried so much."
Newsweek reached out to Hisgirlgracieee for comment. We could not verify the details of the case.
