WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 Predictions: Will Braun Strowman Finally Get the Universal Championship?

Hell in a Cell is the first WWE pay-per-view after SummerSlam and the results of this show will advance the storylines on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live as we head toward Survivor Series.

There are eight confirmed matches on the Hell in a Cell card with almost every title being defended. U.S. Champion Shinsuke Nakamura does not have a place in the evening and Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will be involved in the RAW Tag Team title match.

Monday Night RAW may see a drastic shift in the locker room by the end of Sunday night. Will The Shield thwart Braun Strowman and his "Dogs of War," or will the heels have all the titles and truly make RAW their yard?

If you want to see our panel of fans/"experts" predict and give reasons for their picks, you can watch it, here.

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins—RAW Tag Team Championship Match

This matchup could dictate how the rest of the show goes, but it's unanimous between our team that it's too early for Ziggler and McIntyre to lose the tag straps only weeks after winning them.

Bob - Ziggler and McIntyre

Phil - Ziggler and McIntyre

Rocco - Ziggler and McIntyre

Mo - Ziggler and McIntyre

New Day (c) vs. Rusev Day—SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

The other tag team title match showcases champs who also just won the belts not long ago. Bob and Rocco seem to think it's too early for New Day to drop the belts, however, Phil and Mo felt The Bar was going to overcome Rusev and Aiden English and then take down The New Day to become the champs.

Of course, Rusev Day eliminated The Bar on SmackDown Live so they're both screwed.

Bob - New Day

Phil - The Bar

Rocco - New Day

Mo - The Bar

Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Alexa Bliss—RAW Women's Championship Match

Another unanimous choice from our team. The WWE is high on Ronda Rousey, and it's way too soon to take the belt off of her. Alexa Bliss had a good run, but it's time for Ronda to take on someone else. This will be less of a squash then their encounter at SummerSlam but not by much.

Bob - Ronda

Phil - Ronda

Rocco - Ronda

Mo - Ronda

AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Jo—WWE Championship Match

As much as we would all love to see Samoa Joe finally get a belt in WWE, this is not his time (if we're to be believed). Styles is going after records with his current reign and him being on the cover of WWE 2K19 doesn't help Joe's case.

Bob - Styles

Phil - Styles

Rocco - Styles

Mo - Styles

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Becky Lynch—SmackDown Women's Championship Match

This matchup is probably the most intriguing and the hardest to call. Charlotte just won the belt at SummerSlam so making her a transitional champion would be odd. However, Becky is one of the hottest superstars on either brand in WWE and the company may have changed their plans on what to do with her.

The team is split between Lynch and Flair.

Bob - Becky

Phil - Becky

Rocco - Charlotte

Mo - Charlotte

Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy—Hell in a Cell Match

The match between Orton and Hardy has no championship attached to it, but the two have been at each other's throats for weeks now, and this seems like the blow off. The team is split on who will be victorious as Phil and Mo foresee Jeff doing a crazy high spot that leads to his defeat.

Bob - Hardy

Phil - Orton

Rocco - Hardy

Mo - Orton

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella vs. Miz and Maryse

The ongoing feud between Daniel Bryan and the Miz now involves their wives, and the four will get to throwdown at Hell in a Cell. The Miz won their matchup at SummerSlam by heelish means, and Bob and Rocco feels that will continue in this match.

Phil and Mo believe that this match can give Daniel Bryan a victory before their match at Super Show-Down.

Bob - Miz/Maryse

Phil - Bryan/Bella

Rocco - Miz/Maryse

Mo - Bryan/Bella

Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns (c)—Universal Championship Match (Hell in a Cell)

Most of the crew feels Roman is destined to hold on to the Universal Championship after winning it at SummerSlam. Phil, going out on a limb, believes Strowman wins so that he and Ziggler/McIntyre hold onto most of the belts on RAW. He'll likely be wrong, but it's fun to think about.

Bob - Roman

Phil - Strowman

Rocco - Roman

Mo - Roman
