UPDATE: 11:40 p.m. - Xbox Live is once again experiencing login issues. The company is aware of the problem and is looking into it now. The issues are mainly affecting users in the northeastern United States.

Having trouble signing into your Xbox Live account? You aren't alone. Starting around 10:50 a.m. ET reports of issues with Xbox Live 0x87dd0006 error codes appearing when trying to log in began cropping up online. XBox Live's official support Twitter account let players know they are aware of the issues and that the team is hard at work in resolving them.

Why is Xbox Live having problems?
If you visit Xbox Live's status page on the Xbox Support website, these issues appear to be with Xbox Live's core services. These include things like: Signing in. creating, managing, or recovering an account and search.
Who is affected by the outage?
According to DownDectector.com, most of the issues are surfacing in Western Europe, while newer reports and beginning to trickle in from the NorthEast United States as well. XBox Live has been plagued with issues over the last few days and the current sign in a services issues are no exception. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved before Anthem's open beta begins at 12 p.m. ET. As more is learned about the problems with Xbox Live, we'll be sure to update this post.
