Xbox Series X Restock Update for Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, Target and More

Xbox Series X restocks have been disappointingly infrequent this week and there is no reason to believe that things will pick up today, as major drops typically occur on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Still, you can always try joining the "Xbox Insiders" program to see if you can place an order through Microsoft itself.

Below is a breakdown of the latest information on Xbox Series X restocks.

Best Buy Xbox Series X Restock

After we published our last restock update on Wednesday, July 14, Best Buy released new Xbox Series X supplies.

The console was in stock from 3 p.m. ET at the standard price of $499. These units have now sold out, as has the less powerful Xbox Series S, which was briefly available in a couple of bundles this morning.

GameStop Xbox Series X Restock

GameStop was also selling Microsoft's next-gen console recently. The Series X was available from the retailer at 11 a.m. ET yesterday, bundled with a copy of F1 2021 and a "Shock Blue" controller.

This package was reserved exclusively for GameStop's "Pro Members" and could not be purchased by any other customers.

As such, there is still potential for the outlet to have a wider restock at some point in the near future (it has been nearly a month since their last one, so they are overdue), although there is currently no indication of when that might occur.

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X Restock

As we reported in our last update, there is a unique way of getting your hands on an Xbox Series X from Microsoft directly. All you need to do is sign up for their "Xbox Insiders" program and you could be in with a chance of procuring a next-gen console.

In a nutshell, the Insiders program is a pilot group that trials new features for Xbox before they are released to the general public. Usually, this means testing out things like updated accessibility settings, changes to the dashboard, or early-access versions of games.

Right now, they are running something considerably more exciting in the form of a "Console Purchase Pilot". If greenlit, this facility will allow Xbox One owners to purchase an Xbox Series X through their older console. Gamers can register their interest in trying this out, but spots are not necessarily guaranteed.

To join the Xbox Insiders program, you will need to install the app and accept the relevant terms and conditions. If you then navigate to the preview tab (on an Xbox One unit) you will find the option to sign up for the "Console Purchase Pilot."

Target Xbox Series X Restock

Target has changed its approach to distributing the Xbox Series X. Specifically, the retailer is no longer synchronizing its drops nationwide and is instead allowing individual stores to release units as and when their inventories are replenished.

This makes it quite difficult to forecast when Target will be restocking in the future, as the timing will vary depending on the location. You can search on the merchant's website to see if there are any consoles available near you but, if you manage to find one, it is important to note that you will have to travel to the store in person to collect it.

From now on, the best way to get an Xbox Series X from Target will be to routinely check in on local stores using the chain's official website.

Walmart Xbox Series X Restock

Console trackers were predicting an Xbox Series X restock at Walmart this week, but it is now looking fairly unlikely as this tends to happen on Thursdays and not Fridays.

With it being over a fortnight since the outlet was last selling the console, it is certainly due a restock. As such, it is probably worth keeping an eye on their social media channels closer to Thursday, July 21. If Walmart does release new units on that date, it will probably be at 3 p.m. ET as per usual.

Antonline Xbox Series X

While the Xbox Series X remains sold out at Antonline, you can place an order for the Xbox Series S.

For a cost of $384.97, you will be able to secure the alternative model, alongside an extra wireless controller (in "Daystrike" camo) and a 1-month membership of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Newegg Xbox Series X Restock

Whenever Newegg restocks on the Xbox Series X, the outlet will include the console in one of its "Shuffle" draws. This basically means that you will have to enter a randomized lottery to be in with a chance of getting your hands on the coveted hardware, as there will not be a traditional queue.

There are currently no Xbox Series X shuffles at Newegg. To be alerted when the next one does open, follow reputable console trackers like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals on Twitter.

Amazon Xbox Series X Restock

Neither the Xbox Series X nor the Xbox Series S are available from Amazon at the time of writing.

You might occasionally find an overpriced unit here and there on the website, but these are being traded by third-party resellers and scalpers, rather than Amazon itself. Instead of paying above the recommended manufacture's price for these consoles, you are better off waiting for the next official restock date.

The Xbox Series X is completely sold out at Costco, as is the Xbox Series S. If you want to keep abreast of the situation, follow the likes of @Wario64 and @GYXdeals on Twitter.
