Xbox Series X Restock Update for GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and More

We are going through a bit of a drought at the moment in terms of Xbox Series X restocks.

The situation will hopefully improve as we near the holiday period but, until then, you will have to be extremely vigilant if you want to buy one of these next-gen consoles. Below is the latest information for every major retailer in the country.

GameStop Xbox Series X Restock

As we mentioned in our PS5 restock update, GameStop was taking pre-orders for the Halo Infinite edition Xbox Series X yesterday (Tuesday, October 12). The specially designed console was bundled with a matching controller for $549.99.

As is fast becoming a trend with GameStop, this sale was reserved exclusively for the outlet's "Power Up Rewards Pro" customers. If you want to become a member of this loyalty scheme (in anticipation of future restocks), you can register on the GameStop website for an annual fee of $14.99.

On a related note, the Halo Infinite controllers will be available pre-order later today, as separate items, at 11 a.m. ET.

Walmart Xbox Series X Restock

After a pair of restocks that were bunched unusually close together, Walmart's Xbox Series X inventory is now fully depleted.

The merchant's last drop took place on October 7 and, generally speaking, there is at least two weeks between each of them.

With that said, it is probably worth keeping an eye on Walmart's website closer to Thursday, October 21. While it is not always consistent, the outlet's restocks do typically occur on Thursdays at 3 p.m. ET, so this would fit with that established pattern.

Best Buy Xbox Series X Restock

Best Buy was last selling the Xbox Series X on Wednesday, October 6. You did not have to purchase an expensive bundle on this occasion, as the console was available on its own for the recommended manufacturer's price of $499.

Unfortunately, Best Buy's supplies have now been exhausted and (as per the usual fortnightly rule) they are not expected to be replenished until Wednesday, October 20 at the earliest.

If there is a restock before then, reputable console trackers like @GYXdeals, @XboxStockAlerts and @mattswider will be the first to break the news.

Amazon Xbox Series X Restock

You are still unable to get an Xbox Series X from Amazon and there is no word on when the next restock is likely to occur.

While you cannot add Microsoft's console to your Amazon basket right now, the marketplace remains one of the best places for procuring a Nintendo Switch OLED edition.

Target Xbox Series X Restock

When it comes to distributing the Xbox Series X, Target is no longer coordinating nationwide restocks.

Instead, the retail chain is letting individual stores organize their own drops. This obviously makes it quite difficult to predict when Microsoft's console will next be available from Target, without manually checking the inventories of every single region in the country.

To help increase your chances of getting an Xbox Series X, we advise that you check the Target website each morning. Here, you can filter your search results via ZIP-Code to see if any units are available near you.

Incidentally, Target is still doing nationwide restocks for the PS5, so make sure to read our separate updates for that console.

Newegg Xbox Series X Restock

The Xbox Series X is not featured in today's Newegg shuffle, but there are several PC components up for grabs if you are looking to update your build.

You might be able to find second-hand consoles elsewhere on the Newegg website, but these will be traded by scalpers and are very overpriced as a result. For instance, there is a standalone Xbox Series X unit currently listed for $934.95, which is almost double the recommended manufacturer's price.

Sam's Club Xbox Series X Restock

There is an Xbox Series S listed on the Sam's Club website, but it seems to intermittently phase in and out of stock.

At the time of writing, the console is still available in a bundle for $349.98. If you are interested, it ships with a Nyko charge base, a controller grip and a Tritton wired headset.

Antonline Xbox Series X Restock

If you are willing to settle for the less-powerful Xbox Series S, then there are multiple different bundles for you to consider at Antonline as well.

For the most part their contents are identical (they each feature the Xbox itself, as well as a Nkyo wired headset), but they do come with uniquely patterned controllers.

You have a choice between a blue one, a red one, a yellow one and a carbon black one. All four are equally priced (at $364.99), except for the carbon black bundle which is $5 cheaper for some reason.

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X Restock

The Xbox Series S was briefly available from the Microsoft Store in the early hours of this morning (October 13).

The all-digital model console was available for $299 but is now completely sold out.

Costco Xbox Series X Restock

The Xbox Series X is not in stock at Costco and the inventory levels have not been replenished for a number of months. To be alerted whenever there is another drop, follow dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals, @XboxStockAlerts and @mattswider on Twitter.
