ABC Midseason TV Schedule: When Your Favorite Network TV Show is Coming Back in 2022

ABC has started announcing when its TV shows will be returning in 2022. With dramas like Grey's Anatomy and comedies like The Conners airing their final episodes of the year, fans are wondering exactly how long they have to wait for more episodes in 2022.

The answer is not long. ABC is starting to air its big network comedies from January 3, though viewers have longer to wait for the dramas to return.

January 3 is also when the 26th season of The Bachelor airs, the fourth season in the Bachelor franchise to have aired in six months. When the show returns, Clayton Echard from Michelle's season of The Bachelorette will be the new bachelor.

ABC has also announced the new shows which will be debuting in 2022, one of which very well could become your next TV obsession.

  • The Bachelor Season 26: Starts on Monday, January 3 at 8 p.m. with Clayton Echard as the new Bachelor
  • The Chase: New episode on Wednesday, January 5 at 10 p.m.
  • The Conners: Season 4, Episode 9 airs Wednesday, January 5 at 9 p.m.
  • Black-ish: Season 8 (final season) starts Tuesday, January 4 at 9:30 p.m.
  • The Goldbergs: Season 9, Episode 9 airs Wednesday, January 5 at 8 p.m.

What are the new ABC shows for 2022?

  • Abbott Elementary (preview Tuesday, December 7 at 9:30 p.m., season continues Tuesday, January 4 at 9 p.m.) : A workplace comedy about a group of teachers in a Philadelphia public school starring Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
  • Women of the Movement (starts Thursday, January 6 at 8 p.m.): Six-part miniseries telling the story of Mamie Elizabeth Till-Mobley and her fight for justice after her son Emmett Till was murdered. Stars Adrienne Warren, Tonya Pinkins, Cedric Joe, Ray Fisher, Glynn Turman, Chris Coy, Carter Jenkins and Julia McDermott.
  • Promised Land (starts Monday, January 24 at 10 p.m.): Generation-spanning epic drama about two powerful Latinx families in California's Sonoma Valley. Stars John Ortiz, Cecilia Suárez, Augusto Aguilera, Christina Ochoa, Mariel Molino, Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, Andres Velez as Carlos Rincón, Katya Martín, Rolando Chusan and Bellamy Young.
