Hunter Biden Laptop Video Sparks Tidal Wave of Jokes, Outrage

Hunter Biden has come under fire again after the release of a video that purportedly shows the president's son telling a woman that Russians had stolen one of his laptops for blackmail.

The clip, obtained by the Daily Mail, shows Hunter Biden telling an unidentified sex worker in January 2019 about an incident the previous year: when he was passed out in a pool in Las Vegas and a computer was stolen from him by Russian drug dealers.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election won by his father Joe Biden, a number of damaging stories emerged after Hunter Biden reportedly left a different laptop at a Delaware repair shop—an incident he has said he does not remember. The Mail reports that the January 2019 video was filmed on the Delaware laptop.

If Hunter Biden's account of the 2018 incident is accurate, this would mean he had lost three computers likely to contain sensitive information: one in Las Vegas, one in Delaware and one reportedly seized by federal agents.

"They have videos of me doing this," he said during the video, which lasts 3 minutes and 40 seconds. "They have videos of me doing crazy f****** sex f******," Hunter Biden told the woman, according to the Mail.

"They'd try to blackmail you?" she asked. Hunter Biden replied: "Yeah, in some way, yeah."

A number of conservative commentators and lawmakers are discussing the Mail report on social media. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee shared the article and referred to prominent Democratic lawmakers involved in the impeachment of former President Donald Trump.

Political commentator Liz Wheeler told her 545,000 Twitter followers: "Remember that time Twitter & Facebook CENSORED Hunter Biden laptop stories before the election claiming it was fake news," she tweeted, "all the while Hunter Biden admits in a sex tape video that the Russians stole ANOTHER laptop from him in 2018 for blackmail?

Broadcaster Don O'Donnell tweeted: "After four long years, I'm so glad we have a First Family with dignity again."

In his Fox News show on Wednesday, anchor Sean Hannity mentioned the report and asked why the authorities were taking so long to investigate the president's son.

Claiming that three sources had told him there were compromising pictures on this computer, Hannity said the FBI had "been in possession of these laptops for quite some time."

"My question is, why has it not been revealed now?' Hannity said. "Why has there been no arrest at this point?"

Although Hunter Biden does not mention taking drugs in his account of the alleged Las Vegas incident, he has been open before his struggles with substance abuse. In an interview to promote his memoir Beautiful People, he said he could not even remember if he had left the laptop with the Delaware repairman.

Newsweek has contacted Hunter Biden's lawyer and the White House for comment.
