The Nintendo Switch is offering a real treat for vintage gamers this October. All-time classics like Super Mario 64, Starfox 64 and Ecco the Dolphin are now available to play on the service, along with other iconic games originally made for the Nintendo 64 and the Sega Genesis (aka the Mega Drive).
Nostalgia lovers will be able to play all of these games as part of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, an add-on service to the console's existing subscription package.
Here's everything you need to know about this new service, whether you are an existing Switch Online subscriber or whether you want to join the service now to get a chance to relive your childhood of playing Ocarina of Time.
How Much Does the Expansion Pack Cost for Existing Nintendo Switch Online Customers?
To get access to these vintage games (and some other features, of which more later) will cost Nintendo Switch Online subscribers $30 on top of the $19.99 they are already paying for the service.
If you are already a Switch Online Subscriber, you can go to your Nintendo Switch Online app to subscribe to the expansion pack. Though it will show the full price of the expansion pack in the app, when you get to checkout, the price you have already paid for the original service will be deducted from your purchase.

How Much Does the Expansion Pack Cost for New Subscribers?
If you have never had Nintendo Switch Online, the service will cost you $49.99 per year in total. You can subscribe via the Nintendo eShop, or via the link in the news app story announcing that the expansion pack is now available.
As part of the original Nintendo Switch Online package, subscribers get access to online play on compatible Switch games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, exclusive member-only deals, access to the save data cloud.
More importantly for vintage gamers, it gives you access to over 100 games originally made for the NES and the SNES. This includes all-time classics like the early Super Mario Brothers games (including The Lost Levels), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid and Ghosts 'n Goblins.
The expansion pack, meanwhile, adds a library of Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games, as well as free access to the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons—Happy Home Paradise DLC.
There is currently no way to get the expansion pack content on its own, meaning that new subscribers will have to pay the full $49.99.
