Oregon Hospital Treating Umpqua Community College Shooting Victims Seeks Blood Donations

Updated | The Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon, is holding a blood drive as they work to treat ten patients injured in a shooting at the Umpqua Community College.

The medical center will have a blood donation van outside the premises starting Friday at noon and are asking anyone interested in helping to stop by. Those in the area can donate at the Community Education center at 2459 NW Stewart Parkway.

Chris Harper Mercer, 26, opened fire in a classroom at the college around 10:30 a.m., authorities said. Ten people were killed and seven others were seriously injured.
