'Pokémon Go' Battle League Season 6 Part 2: Schedule, Rewards and More

With the implementation of seasons in Pokémon Go, the Go Battle League has seen some changes—among them, a longer season of PVP battling.

Season 6 of the Pokémon Go Battle League began at the end of November, but Niantic has finally revealed what the format will look like for the second half of the season, including the new schedule and changes to moves that trainers will want to know.

POKEMON GO BATTLE LEAGUE SEASON 6 PART 2 SCHEDULE

  • The Great League will run from Monday, January 11, at 4 p.m. to Monday, January 25, at 4 p.m. EST.
  • The Ultra League and its Premier Cup will run from Monday, January 25, at 4 p.m. to Monday, February 8, at 4 p.m. EST.
  • The Master League, its Premier Cup, Master League Classic, and a to-be-announced special cup will run from Monday, February 8, at 4 p.m. to Monday, February 15, at 4 p.m. EST.
  • All three leagues and the Ultra League Premier Cup will run from Monday, February 15, at 4 p.m. to Monday, February 22, at 4 p.m. EST.
  • The Kanto Cup will run from Monday, February 22, at 4 p.m. to Monday, March 1, at 4 p.m. EST. The CP limit for this cup will be 1,500, and only Pokémon with a Pokédex number between 001 and 151 will be allowed. During this period, your rating will be unaffected.

POKEMON GO BATTLE LEAGUE SEASON 6 PART 2 REWARD CHANGES

The rewards for the Pokémon Go Battle League will change and include the debut of a Unova region Pokémon.

When you reach Rank 20, you'll be guaranteed an encounter with Frillish. The Ghost and Water-type Pokémon will also appear on the rewards tracks for ranks higher than 20.

Trainers who reach Rank 19 will receive an Elite Charged TM and an Elite Fast TM as an end-of-season reward for reaching Rank 19.

POKEMON GO BATTLE LEAGUE SEASON 6 PART 2 ATTACK UPDATES

The following attacks will be updated for Trainer Battles. Some will have its damage output increased or decreased, while others will see the amount of energy generated altered.

  • Ember: This Fire-type Fast Attack will now deal more damage.
  • Karate Chop: This Fighting-type Fast Attack will now generate more energy.
  • Bubble: This Water-Type Fast Attack will now deal less damage.
  • Razor Leaf: This Grass-Type Fast Attack will now deal less damage.
  • Crabhammer: This Water-type Charged Attack will now deal more damage.
  • Sky Attack: This Flying-type Charged Attack will now deal less damage.
  • Rock Slide: This Rock-type Charged Attack will now deal less damage.
  • Shadow Bone: This Ghost-type Charged Attack will now deal less damage.

There are also attacks that certain Pokémon will now be able to learn. Here's the rundown of attacks that can be learned by new Pokémon:

  • Fire-type Weather Ball: Kanto Vulpix and Ninetales.
  • Ice-type Weather Ball: Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales.
  • Water-type Weather Ball: Politoed.
  • Ice Punch: Primeape.
  • Ice Beam: Claydol.
  • Shadow Ball: Claydol.
  • Tri Attack: Porygon-2.
  • Mud Shot: Excadrill.
