Niantic Reveals 'Pokémon Go' Community Day Dates for the Rest of 2019

As the summer season winds down, Niantic is letting Pokémon Go players in on when the rest of the Community Day events will take place for the rest of 2019.

In a blog on the official Pokémon Go site, Niantic confirms the dates for the October, November and December Community Days. According to the post, trainers will want to go outside and explore on October 12, November 16, December 14 and 15.

While the spotlight Pokémon or the in-game bonuses for each Community Day were not announced, we can speculate and make educated guesses as to what Pokémon Go players can expect in the coming months.

The October Pokémon Go Community Day takes place Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.

It's already announced that Turtwig will be featured during the September Community Day so this event won't spotlight a starter Pokémon. Prior to Turtwig, we had Ralts in August and Mudkip in July, so it's likely another three-stage evolution line will take the spotlight.

We still have the Trapinch line from the Hoenn region, but perhaps October will feature a Sinnoh Pokémon like Starly or the Porygon line - Porygon Z is a Sinnoh Pokémon, after all.

The November Pokémon Go Community Day begins Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.

Not only does the event take place a day after Sword and Shield is released, but it's also easy to predict. Every other month a starter Pokémon is featured for Community Day. Since Turtwig is the Pokémon of September, it only makes sense that November will have Chimchar as the spotlight Pokémon.

Shiny Chimchar will become available for the first time and Infernape will likely learn Blast Burn upon evolving during the event hours.

December's Pokémon Go Community Day takes place over two days. On Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. local time.

Last year's December Community Day replayed the year's past events and gave trainers another chance at the perks. The chance to catch the Shiny version of the spotlight Pokémon was increased, as well as access to their exclusive moves.

In 2019, Pokémon Go players had Totodile, Swinub, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Bagon, Turtwig as Community Day Pokémon.
