'Pokémon Sword and Shield' Livestream: Start Time & How to Watch Online

It's been awhile since Pokémon fans had any information on Sword and Shield's expansion pass, but that changes this week.

The Pokémon Company announced Monday that the next livestream for Pokémon information will take place this Tuesday and give an update on the Gen 8 games.

With the Isle of Armor DLC released in June, fans are craving for new information on the Crown Tundra DLC and it looks like they'll finally get it.

POKEMON SWORD SHIELD EXPANSION LIVESTREAM START TIME

The latest Pokémon livestream will take place Tuesday, September 29 at 9 a.m. EDT.

HOW TO WATCH POKEMON SWORD SHIELD EXPANSION LIVESTREAM ONLINE

Pokémon fans can watch the latest livestream on the company's various social media accounts.

The official Twitter and Facebook pages will give updates on the livestream, but one of the best ways to watch the stream online would be through the Pokémon Twitch channel. Twitch can be viewed on a browser or by downloading the app on iOS or Android or on the Xbox One X or PS4 game consoles.

YouTube is also a great way to watch the stream. Fans can download the app on iOS or Android or on the Xbox One X, PS4 or Nintendo Switch game consoles. Players can also watch the stream live below.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The second part of the Sword and Shield expansion pass is the Crown Tundra DLC and that will likely be the focus of this latest Pokémon livestream.

Since its reveal, fans only knew that the Crown Tundra was coming in the Fall of 2020. Fans should expect a hard release date--likely in October or November--as well as more information and gameplay from the upcoming DLC.

When the Isle of Armor DLC was the focus of a Pokémon livestream back in June, fans learned not just the release date, but more information on a new Pokémon. In June, we got the reveal of Galarian Slowbro, its typing, ability and signature move. We already know Galarian Slowking is a new Pokémon included in the Crown Tundra, so expect its official reveal, typing, ability and signature move.

The last stream also gave more information on the Gigantamax forms of Venusaur and Blastoise. We don't know if there will be any new Gigantamax forms with the Crown Tundra, but if there is we will likely get more information on it. We do know from data mining that there is still Gigantamax Melmetal that has yet to be added to the Gen 8 games, so perhaps we will finally get access to it.

Pokémon Sword and Shield is available now for Nintendo Switch.
