PS5 Restock Update for GameStop, Target, Walmart, Antonline, Best Buy and More

PS5 restocks could be on the cards for both GameStop and Target this week, but otherwise we seem to be in the middle of yet another console drought.

Below is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.

GameStop PS5 Restock

With a number of merchants having restocked over the past several days, GameStop is now the most likely candidate to be selling the PlayStation 5 this week. The retailer tends to update its inventory on a fortnightly basis and its last restock was on Thursday, July 15, so another one should be due any day now.

Lately, GameStop has been prioritizing its "PowerPro Rewards" customers for any console drops, by giving them a window of limited exclusivity to place an order before sales open to everybody else. If you want to benefit from this offer in the future, you can sign up for a membership on the GameStop website at a cost of $14.99 a year.

Target PS5 Restock

Target is also potentially slated for a restock this week, as it hasn't been selling PS5 units since Friday, July 9.

With the exception of that particular restock, Target normally replenishes its inventory on Wednesdays or Thursdays. It isn't always consistent, but the announcement tends to occur sometime between 7 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. ET.

As such, it might be worth keeping an eye on the retailer's social media channels over the coming days, particularly in the early hours of the morning.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

On Friday, July 23, Best Buy released new PS5 units at the unusual time of 11:37 a.m. ET. Both the disc and digital editions of Sony's next-gen hardware were available from the outlet, at the recommended manufacturer's prices of $499 and $399, respectively.

Given how recent that was, console trackers aren't holding out much hope for another Best Buy drop this week. That being said, the merchant has been especially unpredictable lately, with wildly fluctuating restock patterns, so it isn't out of the question.

Walmart PS5 Restock

As we forecast in our last update, Walmart released new PS5 units on Thursday (July 22) right on cue at 3 p.m. ET. The console was listed alongside the Xbox Series X, with both of the machines being priced at $499.

While this stock has now been completely depleted, there are still a handful of options for getting your hands on a PS5 from Walmart's website. However, these units are all being traded by independent console resellers who will charge you a grossly inflated rate. For example, you can find a PlayStation 5 listed on the website for an extortionate $928 and that is without any accessories or games included.

As such, we would recommend that you instead wait for the next official Walmart restock, which will probably be on a Thursday again, at around 3 p.m. ET as usual.

Amazon PS5 Restock

Just as we published our previous update, new PS5 units were added to the Amazon marketplace. Again, the disc edition of the console was available for its recommended manufacturer's price, although you couldn't add the digital model to your basket on this occasion.

All items are now sold out and you are no longer able to purchase a PS5 from Amazon, with the exception of a few overpriced units that (like at Walmart) are being traded by third-party scalpers.

Newegg PS5 Restock

A Newegg Shuffle was running last week that contained both PS5 and Xbox Series X bundles. This lottery closed on Wednesday, July 21, at 1 p.m. ET.

Whenever next-gen consoles are available at Newegg, they will only be obtainable by entering a shuffle event. For timely updates on when the next one of these draws will open, follow dedicated console trackers like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals on Twitter.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

Sony's official storefront, PS Direct, was selling the PlayStation 5 last Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET. For roughly half an hour, the next-gen hardware was available to purchase in both its disc and digital editions.

Since then, there has been no word on when the next restock will occur but, when it comes to PS Direct, we usually find out a little earlier. This is because the merchant always sends out email invitations (to randomly selected customers) ahead of time, giving at least a few days' notice before the virtual queue opens.

At the time of writing, there are no reports of anyone receiving one of these notifications.

Antonline PS5 Restock

After impressively managing to restock twice in the space of one week (on Wednesday, July 14 and Friday, July 16), Antonline no longer has any PS5 units available.

To be alerted the next time that the outlet replenishes its inventory, follow the likes of @Wario64 and @GYXdeals on Twitter.

Costco PS5 Restock

You are currently unable to order either version of the PS5 from Costco. If this situation changes, reputable console trackers like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals will be the first to let you know.
