Video of Black Dad and Daughter Dismissing Critical Race Theory Viewed 700k Times

A clip of a Black father and his daughter denouncing Critical Race Theory has gone viral on social media.

The video shows Kory Yeshua sitting with his young daughter, saying he teaches her that she can be "anything in this world that she wants to be," while speaking out against the academic theory that argues racism is a social construct with laws and institutions existing to inherently favor white people.

The girl agrees, and then tells the camera that it doesn't matter if you are "Black, or white, or any other color."

Yeshua adds: "How we treat people is based on how they are, not on what color they are," to which his daughter replies: "And if they are nice, and smart."

"See, this is how children think right here," Yeshua says. "Critical race theory wants to end that. Not with my children, it's not gonna happen.

"My baby is going to know that no matter what she wants to be in life, all she has to do is work hard and she can become that."

His daughter adds: "Work hard even if you don't know anyone, you can make a friend."

After laughing at his daughter's comment, Yeshua adds: "Yeah, you can make friends no matter who they are. So we need to stop CRT point-blank. Period. Children do not see distinct color, they love everybody."

Yeshua first posted the video to his TikTok account, where he has more than 270,000 followers, on May 20 with the caption: "Critical race theory wants to end this!" The clip has so far been viewed more than 20,000 times on the social media app.

Yeshua frequently uploads videos onto TikTok, where he shares conservative views attacking Democrats, Black Lives Matter, and the defund the police movement.

The clip was later shared onto Twitter by Robby Starbuck, a music video director and Republican candidate for Congress from Tennessee, where it has since been viewed more than 700,000 times.

"One of the best videos opposing Critical Race Theory that you'll ever see," Starbuck tweeted on June 1.

"We need more dads like this dad teaching kids and less CRT teaching kids. That's why if I'm elected to Congress I'll work on banning CRT from workplaces that receive federal funds, banning CRT from our schools, giving school choice to parents and rebuilding the family in America."

The clip was met with praise after being tweeted by Starbuck.

"Beautiful. In science, the 'arrow of time' only moves forward. I will not go back," tweeted former CBS News meteorologist Kyle Hunter.

"Our future. She is absolutely adorable and brilliant. God bless our children," added the Twitter account for the Code of Vets charity.

Critical Race Theory, which was first developed in the 1970s, has been met with criticism in recent months, with several states seeking to ban the teaching of it in schools.
