Eric Dier is being closely monitored by Chelsea and Bayern Munich as the Tottenham midfielder grows unhappy at White Hart Lane, according to The Times.

The 22-year-old, who has been with Spurs for two years, is said to be disappointed with the lack of time he has spent on the pitch this season.

Dier is keen on impressing new England first-team manager Gareth Southgate, having worked closely with him at the under-21s level.

London rivals Chelsea and German giants Bayern are believed to be the two biggest clubs watching Dier this season, with the Bundesliga champions already having a bid rejected by Spurs.

Dier did, however, sign a new five-year deal with Spurs in September to keep him at the club until 2021.

He is expected to be part of Mauricio Pochettino's squad to face Hull City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.
