David Beckham: Real Madrid Legend Set for New Role At the Bernabeu

Former Real Madrid galactico David Beckham is set to take up an ambassadorial role at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, according to reports.

Beckham, who retired from his playing career in 2013 after spells at Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan and LA Galaxy, spent four seasons in the Spanish capital.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the former Manchester United and England captain will fill the role as Real Madrid looks to spread its popularity to the United States.

Beckham is a well-known sportsman in America following his five years playing in Los Angeles, while he continues to set up his own soccer school.

The 41-year-old made 115 appearances for England, becoming the third most capped player in the country's history.
