Since joining the WNBA as the Indiana Fever's No. 1 pick, superstar Caitlin Clark has continued making history, including with a major business move during the latest offseason.

On Wednesday, various outlets reported that Clark, 24, had reached a historic partnership agreement. According to CNBC, Clark signed a multi-year deal with Dick's Sporting Goods and Foot Locker, becoming the first individual athlete brand partner for both retailers.

"Dick’s Sporting Goods was always a stop before the start of any sports season when I was growing up. Being the first ever brand partner for both them and Foot Locker is a really special full-circle moment," Clark said in a statement.

The big move comes a month after Clark's first signature shoe was released to the masses. The Nike Caitlin 1 became an instant hit, with many fans rushing to get the first drop and subsequent colorways.

Those initially included the "Caitlin Blue" and "Warning Code" versions, followed by "Midnight Fever." The most recent was a Halloween edition of her shoe, the "Jinx," based on a black cat of the same name that Clark feared while growing up.

Clark's shoe releases tend to sell out quickly. Nike's Jinx release drew some criticism from fans over its limited availability, raising the question of whether Clark's new partnerships could make future releases easier to obtain.

According to CNBC, Clark will work with Dick's and Foot Locker on "custom promotions to support her signature footwear, apparel and product lines." In addition, they indicated she'll be "involved in activations and community events."

Clark has previously signed other multi-year partnerships and sponsorship deals, including deals with trading card company Panini, Indianapolis-based financial platform Gainbridge, and Wilson Sporting Goods.

The latest partnership adds to Clark's growing list of accomplishments, on and off the basketball court. In addition to becoming the NCAA Division I all-time scoring leader while playing at Iowa, she's become a three-time WNBA All-Star, earned two-time All-WNBA First Team honors, and was named the 2026 Associated Press WNBA Comeback Player of the Year.

Although her team was ousted from the playoffs more quickly than anticipated, Clark now has a lengthy offseason to focus on her off-court ventures and prepare herself for the next WNBA season.
