"Honestly, I have zero emotions. We're up, but like Kobe said, 'Job's not done,'" Betts said. "So we got to keep going and just keep applying pressure."

The Dodgers have glided through the postseason taking down the Cincinnati Reds in the Wild Card round and the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS. The Phillies were viewed as LA's toughest matchup, but the Dodgers ran through the NL powerhouse in four games.
The Dodgers have continued their trek through October in the NLCS with Betts as the team's starting shortstop.
Betts made a key defensive play in the top of the ninth inning of Thursday's game, getting a key out to kick off closer Roki Sasaki's outing. The play is a prime example of why Betts is a Gold Glove finalist in his first full year of being the Dodgers' starting shortstop.
Betts has six Gold Glove awards in right field, but he made the unprecedented transition from the outfield to shortstop ahead of the 2025 season. His performance as the Dodgers' infield quarterback has simply been astounding.
Manager Dave Roberts heaped high praise for Betts' play in the ninth, which helped LA's rookie closer settle into his outing.
"He's made big plays. That play going to his backhand just to kind of let Roki settle in, he just continues to make great plays," Roberts said. "It's rightfully so he's in the Gold Glove conversation at shortstop.
"That was a big play. You just never know, get the lead-off runner on, how that inning could have evolved."
The Dodgers have one goal in mind: Winning another World Series. LA has the chance to punch their ticket to the Fall Classic on Friday at home.
