UFC megastar Conor McGregor (22-6) won't be able to compete for a while, but his hopes of fighting on the White House card have not been impacted. The "Notorious" one received an 18-month suspension from the UFC's anti-doping program due to three whereabouts violations in 2024. McGregor failed to register his location for three attempted sample collections.

The suspension is retroactive, as McGregor's period of ineligibility began on Sept. 20, 2024, the date of his third whereabouts failure. The former two-division UFC champion will be eligible to compete on March 20, 2026.

More News: Trump Announces White House UFC Fight Date

White House Fight Still Possible

The suspension will not hinder McGregor's plans to compete at the White House. President Donald Trump recently claimed that the event will be held on June 14, 2026. That is a few days shy of three full months of eligibility for McGregor.

Despite the Irishman's recent claims on "The Sean Hannity Show," UFC CEO Dana White has said that McGregor's fight at the White House is not a done deal. White also revealed that no bouts will be negotiated for the event until Feb. 2026.

Other Possible UFC White House Fights

Many other fighters have been calling to be a part of the historic show. UFC 320 headliner Alex Pereira, who reclaimed the light heavyweight title this past Saturday, has called for a fight against Jon Jones on the White House card. "Bones" has also expressed interest in competing on the show, but White has insisted that he can't rely on the future UFC Hall of Fame in big situations.

UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria has also called for a fight at the White House. Rumors have claimed that Topuria might be set for a January showdown with Justin Gaethje in the UFC's debut event on Paramount+, but that hasn't been confirmed at this time.
