Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to miss the rest of the season following a thumb injury suffered in their Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills. But according to former NFL cornerback turned NFL analyst Bryant McFadden, the Ravens may have quarterback problems far past just this season.

Despite the best efforts on the side of the Ravens this past offseason, they were not able to come to a long-term extension with Jackson.

While Jackson remains under contract with the Ravens through the end of next season, he has both a no-trade clause and a no-franchise tag clause in his current contract that gives him the power to potentially force his way out of Baltimore should he want to do so.

Bryant McFadden believes this is exactly what Jackson will ultimately do, citing Jackson's current contract and how the Ravens organization has treated Jackson by not committing to him with a long-term guaranteed deal as reasoning for why he believes Jackson will never play for the Ravens again.

"I'll say this right now with confidence. I don't think Lamar Jackson plays for Baltimore ever again," said McFadden. "I think next season he will be on a new team because of the control he has over his situation. I saw too, social media wise, he was liking comments people were making in regards to how the team has treated him. You know what they say when you like. You are basically speaking on something without speaking on something. He understands and he hears everything internally. So I think he won't play for Baltimore anymore."

Ultimately, it sure seems like Jackson will have the ability to dictate his own future given the state of his contract with the Ravens. So it will be interesting to see whether Jackson does voice any potential motivation to play elsewhere in the future over the next few months.
