According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Ravens are expecting fan-favorite running back Keaton Mitchell to be active for the first time in 2025 against the Texans. This is huge considering the help that is needed on offense.

Granted, the Ravens still have Derrick Henry, but Mitchell can add another boost of speed to get this running game going even more. With Jackson out, this also gives the offense the chance of having two reliable runners behind Cooper Rush.

Mitchell became a fan-favorite during his rookie season in 2022, when he exploded with big runs, including one for 60 yards during that season. He ended the season with 396 yards and two touchdowns, but there was a lot of hope that he would emerge as a stellar back for the Ravens.

Unfortunately, Mitchell went down with a horrific ACL injury in 2024. With his recovery taking some time, his arrival for 2025 should be very exciting.

This is especially true with so many injuries on the Ravens roster. Rush needs a strong run game to lean on while Jackson is out with his hamstring injury, and Mitchell could provide that alongside Henry.
