As the Seattle Seahawks prepare for a fierce rematch against their division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, in the NFL Playoffs, a member of their coaching staff is considered a strong candidate to become the Las Vegas Raiders' new coach.
The Seahawks reached the NFC Championship Game with a massive 41-6 win against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round. Seattle's offense mainly got a boost on the ground from running back Kenneth Walker III, who had 133 yards and three touchdowns.
During the past season, the team ranked eighth in the NFL in offense, averaging 351.4 yards per game. They also ranked eighth in passing yards per game, as they averaged 228.1 yards per game, courtesy of veteran quarterback Sam Darnold. A lot of that success also comes down to Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

Based on a recent report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Kubiak is a "prime candidate" for the Raiders head coaching job amid the Seahawks' playoff run. That's no surprise, as rumors have popped up about other coaches on teams' coaching staffs throughout the postseason.
Kubiak joined Seattle’s staff just last year, after previously working as the OC with the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings. He’s also worked as an offensive quality control coach, passing game coordinator, and quarterbacks coach for various college and professional teams.
However, if he should become the Raiders' head coach, it would be his first head coaching job. The Seahawks are on the verge of reaching the Super Bowl with a win over the Rams on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are a team desperately in need of the right coach after parting ways with Pete Carroll amid a 3-14 season.
Their losing record also earned them the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Most projections suggest that they'll select Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza from Indiana, giving Kubiak a great player to coach and potentially develop.
According to Fowler, the Raiders' head coaching search should come into focus after Sunday, and another name in the mix as a "viable option" is Broncos pass-game coordinator Davis Webb.
