Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars opened their season with a dominant win, defeating Deshaun Watson and the visiting Cleveland Browns, 34-10.

Watson completed 16 of 22 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown, but also threw an interception and was sacked five times. Lawrence completed 18 of 23 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns, powering his team to a 1-0 start.

One of Lawrence's passes went to Travis Hunter, the Jaguars' dynamic dual-threat on offense and defense. Hunter had only that one reception for eight yards, but he also ran for three yards and played on defense, finishing with a tackle.

Watching it all from the sidelines was last year's starting quarterback in the latter part of the season, Shedeur Sanders, now QB2 behind Watson. After the game ended, he and Sanders met up for a postgame moment.

A cameraperson followed Sanders as he moved through reporters, camera crews, and players to get Hunter's attention. The two players embraced and smiled as they chatted it up for several moments.

Sanders hugged Hunter around the shoulders and neck before the former teammates shook hands a final time and parted ways.

Commenters replied to an ESPN Cleveland video with various reactions to seeing Sanders and Watson's postgame embrace.

"Ha ha...my only highlight of the day and Shedeur STILL treating him like the little brother he'll always be," one commenter wrote.

"You would think espn Cleveland would be focused on something else other than the backup QB," another commenter replied on the X post.

Others commented, "Brotherly love... wait why they following the backup QB lol," and ""Cleveland needs to focus on real issues. This is stupid and unserious."

Sanders and Hunter are former teammates at Colorado, where they played under Sanders' legendary NFL father, Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes' head coach. Both Hunter and Sanders had spectacular final seasons in college, with Hunter named the Heisman Trophy winner for his play at receiver and cornerback, and Sanders helping lead the team to a bowl game.

Last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to select Hunter as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Sanders fell to the fifth round, and the Cleveland Browns selected him as a potential future QB on the roster.

He had his opportunity last season, and although he did admirably in his rookie season, he ultimately lost the starting job to veteran Deshaun Watson this offseason. While the Browns lost Sunday's season-opening game, Watson demonstrated enough experience and talent, and he seems likely to remain the team's starter for the foreseeable future.

Today was Hunter's return to play after he missed 10 games last season due to suffering a knee injury in an October practice and later undergoing surgery to repair a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee.
