It appears the WWE Women's United States Championship will be factored into plans for "WrestleMania 42." Bodyslam reports that as of February, the top professional wrestling company had been looking to add a match for the secondary "SmackDown" women's title to its biggest annual show. It was mentioned in the report that a marquee match between titleholder Giulia and Tiffany Stratton was penciled in.

Back in January, it was noted that Stratton would have a significant role at "WrestleMania 42." If plans stick, then she'll be competing for the WWE Women's United States Championship. It would be a big match for Giulia, who has been mixing it up with the likes of Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair in recent weeks.

Tiffany Stratton Fell Short at Elimination Chamber

While Stratton was one of the favorites to win the 2026 women's Elimination Chamber match at the end of February, she was pinned by Ripley for the final elimination of the match. Ripley is going on to "WrestleMania 42" to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women's Championship. This means she is left out of the world title picture, but she could still walk out of Las Vegas with gold.

Giulia Needs A Big Win

Despite being the WWE Women's United States Champion, luck hasn't been on Giulia's side as of late. She failed to qualify for the women's Elimination Chamber match, but her manager Kiana James ultimately earned a spot. The former Stardom and Marigold standout was also recently pinned in a tag team match against Bliss and Flair. Giulia is in need of a big win, and it might come against Stratton at "WrestleMania 42."
