'Twilight' Star Gregory Tyree Boyce Cause of Death Confirmed as Cocaine and Fentanyl Intoxication

The cause of death for Twilight star Gregory Tyree Boyce and his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju has been confirmed as related to drug use. They were aged 30 and 27 respectively.

The couple were found dead in their Las Vegas apartment on May 13 and Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg has said they died from the effects of cocaine and fentanyl intoxication. Their deaths were ruled as accidental.

Officers were called to the apartment and reported finding white powder present but no evidence of foul play.

Boyce was best known for playing the character Tyler Crowley in the first Twilight movie alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in 2008. Crowley was a student at Forks High School who nearly hits Bella (played by Stewart) with his car.

In 2018, he played the role of Cowboy in a video short titled Apocalypse.

Boyce's mother Lisa Wayne confirmed her son's death on Facebook, writing about his plans to go into the restaurant business.

"My baby boy, Greg Boyce was the best chef....oh man. He was in the process of starting a wing business, West Wings," Wayne wrote.

"I'm sick without you. I'm torn, I'm lost. I'm in pain. I'd text you or call you when I was broken or worried about something, and you'd tell me, Ma, I got you, we'll get thru this together."

Boyce turned 30 in December and marked the occasion on Instagram, writing: "At one point I didn't think I would make it to see 30 years old. Over the years like everyone else I have made mistakes along the way, but today is one of those days I only reflect on the great ones. What a time to be alive. Happy Dirty 30 self! Let's make the rest of these years your best!! #dirtythirty #sagittarius."

He and his girlfriend had been dating for around a year at the time of their deaths.

Adepoju's family set up a GoFundMe page looking for support to cover funeral costs and "bring Natalie home" which raised $7,737 of the $15,000 target as of Tuesday morning (June 2).

"Natalie had so much life to live we are saddened that her life was cut short," the description reads. "Natalie leaves behind one son, her father, 2 brothers and 1 sister, and a host of family and friends who love her dearly. Any amount would help send our baby home the proper way."

Boyce is survived by his 10-year-old daughter Alaya. Adepoju had a young son named Egypt.

The tragic news comes as actor Logan Williams' cause of death was also confirmed as fentanyl overdose last month. Williams was known for playing a young Barry Allen in CW's The Flash.
