Manchester United: José Mourinho's Highest Old Trafford Earner Revealed

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney remains the highest earner in the English Premier League, according to figures reported Friday.
Rooney, 31, earns £300,000 a week ($374,700) at Old Trafford according to figures released by The Times.
The England captain has lost his place in José Mourinho's first team this season, and reports have linked him with a move to the Chinese Super League.
Rooney earns £60,000 more per week than the next highest-paid players in the Premier League. Manchester City teammates Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure are both reported to be on £240,000 a week ($299,000).
Sunderland appears to be getting some of the best value for money in English football's top division. That club's top earner, Jermain Defoe, earns £70,000 a week before tax ($87,200). Defoe, though, is the league's joint fifth highest goalscorer this season with 14 strikes.
