Woman Allegedly Upset About Restaurant's Mask Policy Jumps On Counter in Viral Video

A Panda Express customer who was allegedly upset about the restaurant's mask policy was filmed jumping onto the counter and cursing at the staff.

A video of the incident was posted to TikTok on Wednesday by joseph_byren (@user1480686261916). Already, the post has racked up more than 3 million views and over 186,000 likes.

The full video can be found here.

At the beginning of the video, the customer—who is wearing a onesie—can be seen standing on the counter, throwing food at the employees.

"You racist mother f***ers," she yelled.

When a staff member tried to stop the woman from throwing more food, she yelled, "get off of me," before getting down from the counter.

The customer then called the staff "racist b****es," and finally left the establishment.

From behind the camera, the TikToker can be heard saying: "Put your mask on."

In the comments section of the post, the TikToker claimed that the incident occurred on Christmas day in California.

"My [girlfriend] and I went to eat. I was told I can't order because I didn't have a mask. I sat down and had my [girlfriend] order," wrote the TikToker.

"Then this lady came in after. The worker told her she needed a mask to order, but she pointed out people eating without masks," he alleged.

"She put her shirt over her face and tried to order. The manager said no and [asked] for her to leave. She went wild."

Of course, the interaction isn't the first of its kind to make headlines.

In a video uploaded to TikTok last month, a man can be seen jumping over the counter at a Los Angeles Chick-Fil-A to scream at the employees about his food.

An employee, however, stood her ground and yelled back, and the video ended with security ushering patrons out of the store.

Also last month, a Whataburger security camera captured the moment a drive-thru customer threw their drink at an employee over shortchange.

The footage was later posted on TikTok, where it has so far received more than 12 million views.

Sadly, this behavior has become somewhat common.

"Violence against retail workers has spiked during the pandemic," reported Insider.

"[Eighty] percent of workers said in a poll earlier this year that they've experienced hostile behavior from customers who didn't want to follow safety protocols, and 39 percent said they were leaving their jobs because of it," the publication explained.

Commenters of joseph_byren's video were disappointed by the customer's treatment of the Panda Express staff.

"This is an ADULT acting like this," said PhotoMark.

"These fast food employees don't get [paid] enough for this if you have a problem leave the store," wrote val's vlogs.

"[It] doesn't matter what they did there's no excuse for that type of behavior from an adult," commented another TikTok user.

Nomico added: "The fact [that] she's in a onesie is perfect since she's acting like a baby."
