Posted by Sheena Marie, known on the app as Sheenamarieq, the video begins with the social media creator squeezing ketchup from a sachet onto a hot dog.
She then pours mustard on top, before twisting the dog so that the sauce is now on the underside of the meat, and smeared inside the bread—ready to eat mess-free!
The soundtrack to the video, which can be watched here, is a popular-on-TikTok audio of a British woman, saying: "Show me the life hack that you randomly saw one day which is now an unconscious standard practice in your life. I'll go first..."
The informative video is captioned: "No more messy ketchup and mustard on your lips #lifehacks," alongside a laughing-face emoji.
The method, which was posted to the app on May 31, has so far been viewed by a whopping 2.1 million people, and been liked 118,300 times.
Many people have rushed to the comments section to confirm that they had also tried the trick.
One TikTok user, User4437307676yesthatsme, wrote: "Ahhhh! Been doing the same!"
Another person, Hayles, added: "I always do this! Hihi."
Jan Angeli commented: "Omg I do this!! Hahaha."
JJJJJJJJ stated: "I thought I was unique [laughing-face emoji] [laughing-face emoji]."
Jara Lopez Padica gushed: "So I'm not the only one hahahaha k I'm no weird."
Strawhatpirates0807 typed: "Haha! I though I'm the only person doing that."
However, others were not as impressed with the trick, with MCS writing: "Or just put it on the bun first?"
Jake the Fake agreed, adding: "Just put on the condiments before the dog??"
