Britney Spears paid tribute to her teen sons on Instagram on September 22, celebrating them getting another year older in a belated birthday post.
The "Gimme More" singer shares Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, from whom she divorced in 2007.
And with the boys' birthdays falling on September 12 and 14, the star shared an update on her sons with her more than 34 million Instagram followers on Tuesday.
Proud mom Spears shared a text image of a quote that read: "There is nothing stronger than the love between a mother and son," as she discussed the delights and challenges of watching her sons grow up.
"My boys' birthdays were last week ... and unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things," she wrote. "I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men 🤷🏼♀️😂🥺 !!!"
Revealing how she celebrated their birthdays, Spears went on: "Anyway we had a small party and the coolest ice cream cakes 🍨 🎂 !!!"
However, she admitted to feeling emotional seeing just how much her boys have grown up, continuing: "It makes me crazy because they are so tall and geez they are still growing 😳😳😳 !!!
"They went to a dance last week and I cried for two days 😭😭😭 my babies in a suit !!! It's crazy !!! And girls get ready cause my boys are so handsome 🥰🥰🥰 !!!"
The singer concluded her post: "There's a lot I can't share with you all because my kids are very private which I love but I will tell you they are both extremely talented and I'm so incredibly blessed to have these two little men in my life ❤️🙏🏼 !!!
"And if they're reading this ... which I'm pretty sure they're not ... I love you two little devils so much 😈❤️😈 !!!"

Jayden's birthday fell on September 12, which also happened to be the same day that Sam Asghari proposed to Spears—news she also shared on Instagram.
When Sean's rolled around on September 14, Spears' account on the platform suddenly vanished, which she later explained on Twitter occurred because she was "just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement."
Spears' ex-husband Federline gained sole physical and legal custody of their sons back in 2008, around the time she was placed under conservatorship amid concerns for her mental health.
The singer remains under the controversial conservatorship to this day, which has allowed her father, Jamie Spears, to oversee her professional and personal affairs over the past 13 years.
In June, Britney Spears stated in her court testimony that under the conservatorship she was made to perform shows, take medication and wear a contraceptive device against her will.
Wearing the contraceptive device, she said during her testimony, prevented her from realizing her desire to have another baby with her partner.
Jamie Spears has since petitioned to step down as his daughter's conservator. Jodi Montgomery continues to oversee Britney Spears' personal decisions under the court agreement.
A follow-up court hearing on the case is scheduled to take place on September 29.
