BTS McDonald's Meal Release Date, Price and Merchandise Details

The BTS/McDonald's collaboration has officially arrived!

After over a month of anticipation, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope, RM, V and Suga have launched their partnership with the fast-food company, in the form of a special "BTS meal".

The "BTS meal" will include 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries and a medium Coke.

To spice it up, the meal will also come with two limited-edition sauces, Cajun and Sweet Chilli, which were selected by the group and inspired by McDonald's South Korean offerings.

It will roll out across nearly 50 countries including the U.S, Singapore, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.

However, some countries are set to experience a slight delay to the launch of the meal.

The McDonald's Singapore Facebook page said it has pushed the release date back to June 21.

Customers can order the meal in restaurants, drive-throughs, via the McDonald's app or the McDelivery service.

The official cost of the meal is yet to be unveiled but it is expected to cost around the $7 mark, the price of a usual Chicken McNuggets meal.

Newsweek has contacted McDonald's for comment.

It's good news for fans as the collaboration doesn't end there. On Tuesday, Hybe Merch teased on Twitter that BTS and McDonald's are releasing branded merchandise in honor of the link-up.

The tweet included an animated video that appeared to tease various items from the collection, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, socks and even suitcases.

BTS fans will be able to get their hands on the range via the Weverse Shop.

To make it even more special, merchandise orders are set to come with BTS photocards.

The exciting launch comes amid a record-breaking month for the K-pop group, which now hold the top two spots for YouTube's biggest premieres to date.

On Friday, the band released the official music video for their latest hit song "Butter."

A representative from YouTube told Newsweek the video has officially broken the group's own record for the most views in 24 hours.

BTS' 2020 hit "Dynamite" previously obliterated records with 101.1 million viewers in the first day.

However, "Butter" has now melted the figures with a grand 108.2 million views in the first 24 hours.

"Butter" also shattered the platform's premiere record with 3.9 million viewers.

The group, who debuted in 2013, are gearing up to mark their eighth anniversary on June 13 in a global live stream event.

BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo will take place over two days and is set to see the group perform songs from their epic back catalog.
