MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Says His New Social Media Platform Frank Will Launch 'Next Week'

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has said his new social media platform, named Frank, will launch to the public within the next seven days.

The businessman made the announcement on Parler on Tuesday, writing: "Coming next week... a social media platform like no other!" Lindell suggested the site will appear on the domain frankspeech.com, which currently shows a placeholder static webpage.

His post attracted over 200 comments and at least 1,800 upvotes—Parler's version of Twitter likes—at the time of writing on Tuesday morning.

Lindell is a supporter of former president Donald Trump who has repeatedly circulated misinformation and conspiracy theories about the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

He was permanently suspended from Twitter in late January due to repeated violations of its misinformation guidelines—officially known as the Civic Integrity Policy.

The launch timeline aligns with comments Lindell previously made on The Eric Metaxas Show, published March 30. He estimated the rollout was about two weeks out.

He has described the project as a mixture of YouTube, Twitter and forums. Like Gab and Parler, it is being pitched as a website dedicated to facilitating free speech.

Lindell has previously claimed the new website will be able to accommodate one billion users, and suggested it will attract major influencers alongside the general public.

In an interview on former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon's War Room Pandemic podcast last month, the MyPillow boss claimed Frank will be self-hosted, which could help to protect it from takedowns by Amazon, Google or Apple.

Lindell said: "None of these guys are going to be able to take this down. We're gonna all come over there. All the influencers... all these people that can't say on their podcasts the word 'Dominion,' or they can't say 'vaccine, a vaccine is bad for you.'

"They are going to be able to speak out and speak freely and it's going to be amazing. The voices of hundreds of millions of people are going to be heard."

Much about the Frank site is unknown at the time of writing, including layout, scope, funding and if it will indeed have the back-end infrastructure required to scale.

Lindell is facing a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit filed by the election machine company Dominion Voting Systems. The MyPillow CEO previously claimed without evidence that Dominion had played a role in rigging the 2020 election's outcome in Biden's favor.

The frankspeech.com static webpage currently reads: "On this platform you will find a home where you can post videos, livestream television, distribute news and information, and find community and fellowship with like minded Americans."

A description adds: "Frank will be a home for major influencers, to micro influencers, to average Americans wanting to share in the constitutional right of freedom of speech and freedom of expression. We hope you will join our community and let freedom ring."
