PS5 Restock Update for GameStop, Walmart, Amazon, PS Direct, Target and More

While PS5 restocks have been rather infrequent throughout October, things are starting to look up as we approach Black Friday.

In fact, there is at least one drop already confirmed for later this week at GameStop, but it will only apply to select locations.

Here is the latest PS5 restock update for every major U.S. retailer.

Walmart PS5 Restock

As we reported in our previous restock update, Walmart has announced that its early Black Friday deals will begin with a tech-oriented sale on November 3.

While the retailer has not explicitly confirmed that the PS5 will be included in these deals, it is worth preparing just in case. The event will commence at 3 p.m. ET on November 3 and will last until November 5.

Following this, there will be another early Black Friday sale on November 10, but this one will be geared more towards apparel products and home appliances.

In the meantime, you can always try looking for second-hand units on the Walmart site, but these will inevitably be overpriced.

Target PS5 Restock

There have already been a couple of smaller restocks at Target earlier today (27 October).

If you missed both drops (there was one for the PS5 disc edition and then a separate one for the all-digital model), then you need not despair just yet. According to reliable console tracker, Matt Swider, the PlayStation units are being released in sporadic waves and there may be more to come.

Given that he has inside sources—who rarely steer him wrong on these things—we would recommend that you follow @mattswider on Twitter. If there is another restock later today, he will send out an immediate update.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Swider has also revealed that there will be in-store PS5 drops at flagship GameStop locations on Friday, October 29.

These will be taking place in areas such as Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Nashville, Detroit and North Carolina.

Most of the participating stores will be opening bright and early at 8 a.m. ET, so we would not advise laying in if you are hoping to join the line.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

You can still register for Sony's upcoming restock event, although time is of the essence.

If you sign up with a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, then you might just be selected to buy a PS5 when the imminent drop occurs sometime in November.

Expressing your interest does not guarantee that you will be able to place an order though, as the outlet will be cherry-picking applicants based on various criteria. If you are selected, you will receive email confirmation ahead of time.

Amazon PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, you are still unable to add a PS5 to your Amazon basket. For context, it has now been over a month since the marketplace last had Sony's hardware in stock.

There is reason to be optimistic that this might change soon, as we are inching ever closer to Black Friday. On that note, make sure to keep checking in with Newsweek for updates on tech-related deals in November and any associated restocks for next-gen consoles.

Newegg PS5 Restock

The PS5 is not included in today's Newegg shuffle. Some gaming PC components are featured that might be worth checking out though, especially if you are in the market for a new motherboard or video card.

Otherwise, you can browse elsewhere on Newegg's website to see if any second-hand PS5s are up for sale. If you decide to look into this, be aware that any preowned units you find will likely be traded by third-party scalpers and will therefore be going for an inflated cost.

For example, you can currently find a standalone PS5 digital edition listed on the website for $908.95. The recommended manufacture's price for one of these models is $399, so this is over double what you should be paying.

All PS5 bundles remain sold out at Best Buy. To be alerted as soon as the situation improves, follow dedicated console trackers such as @mattswider and @Wario64 on Twitter.

Antonline PS5 Restock

You are currently unable to buy a PS5 from Antonline. However, the retailer does have an Xbox Series S up for grabs.

Microsoft's less-powerful consoles is currently listed in a bundle with a spare controller and a Nyko wired headset. In total, this deal costs $364.99.

Sam's Club does not have any next-gen consoles in stock at the moment. Even the Xbox Series S (which is often listed on the website) is displaying as sold out.

Costco PS5 Restock

There are no PS5 units available from Costco right now. It has been quite some time since the merchant was last selling Sony's console, but if there is ever an unexpected restock then the likes of @mattswider and @Wario64 will be the first to let you know.
