Arsene Wenger: Arsenal Boss Would Say No to China

Arsene Wenger would reject any lucrative offers that come his way from the Chinese Super League, according to reports.

Speculation over whether this will be Wenger's final year at Arsenal after 21 years as manager has grown as the north London club only looks to be battling for the FA Cup.

Should the Frenchman leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, Wenger says he will still be in management come next season.

But, according to the Daily Mail, any offer from the Chinese Super League would be rebuffed by Wenger, who managed in Japan before joining Arsenal in 1996.

The Super League's financial power has attracted heavyweights of football to Asia both on and off the pitch.

Brazilian Oscar moved to Shanghai SIPG in January from Chelsea for £60 million ($75 million) and is managed by former Blues and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The Super League has five former Premier League managers working in it, as well as World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro.

Luis Felipe Scolari, who led Brazil to World Cup glory in 2002, is head coach of Guangzhou Evergrande; Manuel Pellegrini, who left Manchester City in the summer with a Premier League winners' medal, joined Hebei China Fortune; and former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is now at Shanghai Greenland.

Wenger, however, isn't expected to be joining them as he looks to continue competing in Europe's elite leagues.
