Liverpool Can Still Catch Chelsea in Premier League Title Race, Former Red Says

Former Liverpool striker John Barnes believes his old club is capable of beating Chelsea to the Premier League title, despite being 13 points behind.
Chelsea's victory over Arsenal, followed by Liverpool's defeat to Hull on Saturday, saw Jurgen Klopp's side slip to fifth in the Premier League table and 13 points behind.
Barnes, who made 314 appearances over a decade at Anfield, believes there is still a chance for Antonio Conte's Chelsea to be caught before the end of the season.
"I don't think Chelsea are out of sight but Liverpool need to improve—the title race starts in March," Barnes told the Evening Standard.
"Liverpool can still finish in the top four if everyone gets behind Jurgen Klopp, who is a very good coach."
Barnes was disappointed not to see Liverpool do any business in the January transfer window. "Unfortunately, we didn't get anyone in January," he added. "Signings would have helped but it's not all doom and gloom."
Liverpool is yet to win a Premier League game in 2017, falling behind Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal in the table.
Klopp side also has Manchester United now just one point behind, in sixth, having beaten champion Leicester City on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs is the visitor to Anfield on Saturday.
