Arsenal is looking to hijack Manchester United's attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer, according to reports.

Manchester United has long been an admirer of the French forward, and could once again neeed to break the world transfer record — set by the club's own purchase of Paul Pogba for £89 million ($111 million) last summer — in order to bring him to Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho will face competition from Premier League rival Arsenal for the services of the 25-year-old.

Griezmann helped lead Atletico to the Champions League final in May and France to the Euro 2016 final two months later, but lost in both.

He is valued around £85 million ($106 million), but this fee is expected to rise during negotiations.
