The legendary tag team of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage returned at AEW "Revolution 2026" to get a measure of revenge on FTR. During AEW's pay-per-view event on Sunday, FTR defended the world tag team titles against The Young Bucks. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler ended up retaining the gold, but they were in for a rude awakening.
A graphic appeared on the screen inside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles with text that read, "Revenge." Copeland then made his way out while Cage took out Harwood with the Kill Switch. Copeland then delivered a spear to Wheeler. FTR's manager Stokely Hathaway was left alone in the ring and was dropped with the Kill Switch.

Copeland and Cage Want AEW Gold
Once FTR and Hathaway were tossed out of the ring, Copeland and Cage held up the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The pair then showed mutual respect to The Young Bucks before dropping the titles on the mat.
Copeland and Cage had been off AEW TV since the "All Out" show back in Sept. 2025. The pair defeated FTR on that night, but Copeland's wife Beth was attacked by Harwood and Wheeler. Following the angle, Copeland told Cage that they're family, but he had to go back home to avoid putting his wife in further danger.
Whether or not AEW will further drag out the storyline until "All In 2026" remains to be seen. With Copeland and Cage finally back on AEW TV, it might be more likely that a rematch with FTR will happen sooner.
