Xur has moved to a new location in Destiny 2, where he will be selling valuable exotic items for a limited time only.
If you are not familiar with Xur, he is a wandering merchant who periodically appears in Bungie's spacefaring live service. Every Friday, at 1 p.m. ET, he will set up his shop in one of three sites dotted around the galaxy. He usually alternates between the EDZ, Nessus and Tower destinations.
Regardless of where he pitches up, Xur will stay in that location until Destiny 2 resets on the following Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET. After this time has elapsed, he will then be unavailable for a 72-hour period.
Given that he only hangs around for a few days at a time, it can be quite stressful trying to keep track of Xur's constant movements around the game world. This is especially true if he happens to be trading weapons or armor pieces that you really want, as his inventory is prone to changing just as often as his whereabouts.
With that being said, Newsweek is publishing weekly updates on Xur's location so that you never miss your chance to trade with the vendor. Here is where you can find him as of October 8.
Where Is Xur in 'Destiny 2' for October 8–12
This week Xur can be found at the Winding Cove region of EDZ.
You will only have until 1 p.m. ET on October 12 to browse his wares. Once that deadline has passed, Xur will be removed from the game until his next regularly scheduled Friday appearance.
Exotic Items Available to Buy From Xur This Week
While his inventory is everchanging, Xur will always be selling at least four exotic items.
There is guaranteed to be a weapon of some kind, as well as three pieces of armor (one for each of Destiny 2's classes). As of October 8, this is what he has in stock:
- Telesto (Exotic Fusion Rifle)
- The Bombardiers (Exotic Hunter Leg Armor)
- Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Exotic Titan Leg Armor)
- Winter's Guile (Exotic Warlock Gauntlets)
Last week Xur set up his shop in the Watcher's Grave region of Nessus. There he was selling the Hard Light auto rifle, the Sunbracers warlock gauntlets, the Shards of Galanor and the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest armor.
