Where Is Xur in 'Destiny 2' This Week? Location and Shop Items for September 24

Destiny 2's travelling merchant, named Xur, has relocated yet again and is selling brand new exotic items.

In case you are not aware, Xur is a unique vendor in Bungie's live-service game because he will only stay in one place for a limited amount of time. Every Friday, at 1 p.m. ET, he will set up his shop in a new location and his inventory will completely refresh. Then, on the following Tuesday, he will disappear for a 72-hour period.

This means that you will only have four days (from Friday to Tuesday) to acquire any items you want from Xur before he replaces them with something totally different. As such, there is a real sense of urgency in the community when it comes to finding him.

He will always be selling at least four exotic items, including a weapon and a piece of armour for each of Destiny 2's classes (those being Warlocks, Hunters and Titans).

To help you locate Xur, Newsweek will be tracking his movements on a weekly basis, as well as the changes to his inventory. Here is everything that you need to know as of Friday.

Xur's Location in 'Destiny 2' for September 24–28

This week Xur is located at the EDZ destination. He can be found standing on the precipice of a cliff overlooking the Winding Cove region from the north.

He will hang around in this spot until Destiny 2 resets on September 28 at 1 p.m. ET. After this time has elapsed, Xur will then be completely unavailable until October 1.

Items Available to Buy From Xur This Week

As of Friday, Xur is selling the following exotic gear:

  • Merciless (Exotic Fusion Rifle)
  • Shinobu's Vow (Exotic Hunter Gauntlets)
  • Wormgod Caress (Exotic Titan Gauntlets)
  • Apotheosis Veil (Exotic Warlock Helmet)

Xur will typically cycle between three regular haunts. He can normally be found at the Tower Hanger, Watcher's Grave on Nessus, or the Winding Cove region of EDZ where he is right now.

For instance, last week he set up his shop at the Tower Hanger, where he was selling the Merciless fusion rifle, the Shards of Galanor hunter gauntlets, the One-Eyed Mask helmet and the Geomag Stabilizers.

Newsweek will inform you of Xur's whereabouts every Friday and will also make a list of his exotic wares so that you can decide if you want to pay him a visit or not. With that said, make sure to check in here each week for another timely update.

Destiny 2 is available now. It is free to download on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC.
