AOC Mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Little Communist' Insult: 'I'm Taller Than Her'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene calling her "the little Communist from New York City" by joking that she's actually taller than Greene.

Greene attacked the Democratic congresswoman as she warmed up the crowd at former President Donald Trump's rally in Ohio on Saturday.

As the crowd started chanting "lock her up," the Georgia Republican agreed. "Yeah, lock her up too," Greene said. "That's a good idea."

Greene continued her attack on the New York congresswoman by claiming she is not American.

"She's not an American," Greene claimed. "She doesn't embrace our American ways. You wanna know why? She has something called the Green New Deal."

Ocasio-Cortez responded to a clip capturing Greene's insults on Twitter.

"First of all, I'm taller than her," she wrote.

It's not the first time Greene has attacked Ocasio-Cortez.

Earlier in June, she reignited their feud by accusing Ocasio-Cortez of "constantly playing the victim" and not doing enough to support her grandmother in Puerto Rico. That came after Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about the plight of Puerto Ricans and attacked Trump and local leaders over the distribution of aid after Hurricane Maria in 2017.

And last month, Greene accused Ocasio-Cortez of antisemitism and claimed her stance on weapon sales to the Israeli government made her a "terrorist."

".@AOC you're responsible for attacks on Jewish people bc of your hate-Israel stance against Israel's right to defend itself from terrorists Hamas, calling Israel an apartheid state, & supporting terrorists groups. Aligning yourself with terrorists means your [sic] a terrorist," Greene tweeted, alongside an image of Ocasio-Cortez's tweet calling for an end to antisemitism and a headline about her aim of cutting funding for Israeli bombs.

Greene also accosted Ocasio-Cortez outside the House chamber last month and called her a "terrorist sympathizer."

Reports noted Greene asked Ocasio-Cortez why she supports Antifa and Black Lives Matter, claiming they are terrorist groups. Greene said: "You don't care about the American people. Why do you support terrorists and Antifa?"

Ocasio-Cortez walked away from that encounter and her office later called on lawmakers to make sure that Congress remains "a safe, civil place" for members and staff.

That incident prompted Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell to accuse Greene of "stalking" Ocasio-Cortez.

"I was a prosecutor. I've convicted people for less on stalking charges," he said in a CNN interview. "I mean she is following Ms. Ocasio-Cortez around for years, trying to engage with her. She just needs to let it go. She's just not that into you Marjorie Taylor Greene. I'm sorry."
