Jamie Lynn Spears Mentions Britney 315 Times in Her Book

Jamie Lynn Spears mentions her sister more than 300 times in her controversial new book Things I Should Have Said.

The younger Spears sibling has received much criticism over the release of her memoir amid an ongoing vicious public spat with her pop star sister.

Fans of the beloved "Toxic" singer have spoken out against Jamie Lynn Spears releasing a book without Britney Spears getting to speak about her experiences with her conservatorship herself first.

While the 40-year-old has accused her sister of selling "a book at my expense."

The Zoey 101 star has asked her sibling if they can end their disagreement privately but has promoted her book and discussed Britney Spears in interviews with Good Morning America and on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

The 30-year-old has been called out by her sister and a former co-star, Alexa Nikolas, who says she is telling lies in the book, but hit back to say that the book is "not about" her sister.

"Last thing I want to be doing is this, but here we are... It's hard to see these posts, as I know the world also feels," the mother-of-two wrote on Instagram on January 14. "I just wish her well. Brit, I am always here, you know behind the scenes I have always been here.

"It's becoming exhausting when conversations, and texts we have in private don't match what you post on social media. I know you're going through a lot and I never want to diminish that, but I also can't diminish myself.

"That being said, I hate to burst my sister's bubble, but my book is not about her. I can't help I was born a Spears too, and that some of my experiences involve my sister. I've worked hard since before I was even a teenager, and I've built my career in spite of just being someone's little sister."

Despite the claim that the memoir is "not about" Britney Spears, the singer is mentioned 315 times throughout the 210-page book.

The name "Britney" is mentioned 201 times in the book, while the phrase "my sister" is said 114 times, Newsweek can confirm. That's a grand total of 315 references Jamie Lynn Spears makes about Britney Spears in her book.

The book has been flooded with negative reviews on multiple platforms.

One review on Google reads: "Sad. I thought this was supposed to be a memoir of a girl telling her own hardships. She mentions her sister every other page and doesn't have anything kind to say about her. Just plain trashy. Don't waste your money."

Jamie Lynn Spears' representatives have been contacted for comment.
